Had a glorious day out, I went to Houghton Mill, what a wonderful step into history.
Tucked in-between St. Ives and Huntington is the village of Houghton, which has a water mill, owned by the National Trust, set on the river , it is a lovely place to visit, the staff were very polite, helpful and seem happy in their work. The mill you can walk into and up several tiers of working grind stones and it still makes flour which you can buy. It has a café, toilets and gift shop. Out the back there is also a camp site with a few glamping pods. You can picnic by the river and just relax. I had a lovely afternoon.
