Wimpole is an interesting place to visit. With the Hall to admire with all it’s grandeur and splendour. The farm with all its animals. Pigs, cows and beautiful cart horses. And with the long wonderful walks around the acres of grounds.
Set in Cambridgeshire, the estate started in the twelfth century. Built near the Roman road, making travelling to London more accessible. Now belonging to The National Trust.
At the time of my visit, the front entrance was having some major repair work.
But their backyard seemed beautiful!
The Home Farm was added in the 1790s.
Built to supply the Hall with home produce of meat, dairy and grain.
A gift shop, cafe, second-hand bookshop, plants and other home produce to purchase.
This is a great place to visit, children will enjoy the animals, and adults be wowed by the surroundings.
